Fuego Del Sol is dealing with an injury that will sideline him for a number of weeks.
Per Cagematch, Fuego hasn’t wrestled since February 19. He previously announced that he had been sidelined with a foot injury, and in an update, he revealed that the setback is more significant than first believed.
On March 1, the AEW star tweeted that, following a CT scan and further examination, doctors told him his foot has been fractured in five different places. Fuego noted that getting surgery would potentially put him on the shelf for three months, but a foot specialist will determine whether that’s necessary. Otherwise, if the injury can heal by itself, the recovery time is expected to be between six and eight weeks.
“Last week the x-rays confirmed the dislocation of my right foot, they believed I only had one minor fracture. After the CT scan upon further examination, today they determined I actually fractured my foot in 5 DIFFERENT PLACES!
So now I have to go see a foot specialist to determine if it needs surgery or heals on its own. If it can heal on its own the recovery is 6-8 weeks because all my bones are in the right spots and the fractures just need time to heal, BUT if I need surgery it could be 3 months.
Expect another update next week, hoping for the best. Focusing on my recovery and advancing my non-physical ventures like, twitch, YouTube, tiktok, IG and content of the likes to keep me busy and my mind off this. Any love and support sent my way is appreciated immensely!”
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
