Ricky Starks Wants To Get Into Acting, Believes Its Doable Within Two Years

Already a star in the professional wrestling scene, Ricky Starks hopes to find his footing in the acting world as well.

During a recent interview with Bleacher Report, the former FTW Champion spoke about his goals inside the squared circle, and on the silver screen. “I definitely want to get into acting and try my hand in the entertainment world. TV shows, movies, that sort of thing,” he said. “There’s a good crossover for me to take advantage of. But beyond that, in wrestling itself, definitely trying to main-event as much as possible and become a world champion.”

Starks previously expressed his interest in appearing in DC or Marvel movies.  WWE Hall of Famer Dave Bautista has found much success inside the MCU through his portrayal as Drax the Destroyer. For Ricky Starks, he’s aiming to elevate his stock in a couple of years, both in acting, and wrestling.

“I think that’s all doable within two years,” Starks said. “Anything that I’ve set out for myself. And with that, being the face of a company is also a great thing to have, because there’s a lot of trust that they instill in you in that regard. So those are the main ones. I’m not big at putting all my goals out there just because you got to gotta leave a little something for yourself.”

With AEW’s leniency in seeking out outside projects, many talents, including Starks, have been able to explore their interests outside of the wrestling bubble. Stars such as Matt Hardy, Dax Harwood, and Swerve Strickland have chosen to host their own podcasts. Some have even dabbled into other television gigs. TNT Champion Samoa Joe soon premieres as Sweet Tooth in the Peacock series, Twisted Metal. In addition to his acting pursuits, Starks recently announced the upcoming launch of his own clothing brand — Dream Palace.
