Allysin Kay And Marti Belle Want The Whole Pie, Aim To Hex-tinguish The Competition In IMPACT Wrestling

The Hex is looking to dominate the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts division.

Allysin Kay and Marti Belle, collectively known as The Hex, recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard ahead of IMPACT Wrestling’s No Surrender event. The Hex will challenge The Death Dollz for the Knockouts Tag Team Championship on the show, and they spoke about their surprise return to the company as well as their goals for the women’s tag team division.

Allysin Kay: “I know that it was a surprise to everyone to pop up together, but we had a lot of success outside of IMPACT, leaving companies and then coming back as a team. So we thought, ‘why not do that everywhere?’ It’s working for us. We’re multi-time tag team champions in very distinct promotions, so it’s working for us. on top of, of course, winning the Knockouts Tag Titles next week, we want to do everything. We always want to do everything, not only win the Knockouts titles, but keep them. We want to dominate. We want to hex-tinguish the competition in IMPACT.”

Marti Belle: I think I think both of us have had, as you mentioned, a lot of success at IMPACT individually, but why not [together]? Two is always better than one, so why not, as Allysin said, grab those titles, hold on to them dearly and then, I don’t know, AK three-time Knockouts Champion… that sounds good, right?”

Allysin: “I do like that.”

Marti: “There’s just so many possibilities, and with both of us being there together, I think everyone’s in danger.”

The Hex returned to IMPACT a few weeks ago, but they are also still making appearances on NWA programming. Asked about how they plan on balancing it all out, Allysin Kay noted that they are still free agents and finding that balance is something she’s comfortable with.

Allysin: “Marti and I are free agents, so we are free to go wherever we want and pretty much do whatever we want. That’s kind of what we’ve been doing almost our entire career. I feel like I’ve been an indie wrestler my entire career, even including my first time at IMPACT, because I was allowed to still do the indies, so I never left. I never left the indies. I’ve always had to balance all the promotions at once and my own schedule and be my own assistant, my own agent. So, at this point, it’s really muscle memory. It’s not anything that I have to — it’s not difficult to balance because we’re free agents is really the long story, short.”

Noting their previous comment about Kay becoming a three-time Knockouts Champion, it doesn’t seem as if the Knockouts Tag Team Championship is the only goal for The Hex. Marti Belle said she wants her first singles title in the company and she sees multiple options.

Marti: “I’m just saying, I’ve never held a title at IMPACT Wrestling and the Digital Media Championship is out there. I can add one in the Knockouts World Championship. When The Hex wants something, we don’t just want a little piece, we want the whole pie. So, like I said, no one is safe. That title that Joe Hendry has right now, I don’t know, that would look great in one of our offices. The Knockouts Championship, everybody knows how much I love and respect Mickie James, but what better way to show someone how much you respect them than to beat the crap out of them? So, I don’t know, really, the sky’s the limit for what The Hex can do.”

IMPACT Wrestling’s No Surrender takes place on Friday, February 24 and it will air live on IMPACT Plus. The company will also host two nights of television tapings on February 25 and 26; tickets for all of the shows are available now.
