Dirty Dango credits Brian Myers for his current position in IMPACT Wrestling.

Dirty Dango, formerly Fandango in WWE, recently signed with IMPACT Wrestling marking his first contract in wrestling since being released by WWE. Now, during a recent appearance on Cultaholic Desert Island Graps podcast, Dango is talking about how Brian Myers helped him get his foot in the door with IMPACT Wrestling.

“When Curt Hawkins, Brian Myers, was doing a dancing gimmick in WWE years ago, he picked me to be his tag team partner. They actually went with me for the Fandango character. Then, Myers came up to me about six months ago, and he asked, ‘Hey, are you signed anywhere?’. I said no. He said, ‘What about coming into Bound For Glory as a surprise opponent for me?’ and I said sure. I did the match, and they liked the dirtiness they saw I guess, and they offered me a contract. I’ve got a lot of friends over there in IMPACT, so it wasn’t too nerve-wracking walking into the locker room because most of the guys and girls there I’ve known for years and have shared locker rooms with. Myers and I are intertwined, our careers for years. I guess you could say he was my in, so that was pretty nice of him to do that. A lot of respect for him.”

Dango says that he’s currently only interested in working for IMPACT as he runs how construction company in Maine in addition to wrestling

“I think I’m just going to do IMPACT for now. I run a construction business here in Maine, so the schedule works out well with what I do here in Maine, so we’re just going to do that for now. I really like the schedule. I like all the agents there, Tommy Dreamer, Scott D’Amore, and Gail Kim. Obviously, Myers, Rhino, Heath, guys that I’ve worked with hundreds of times; it’s cool to go see everybody once, twice, or four times a month, depending on what their schedule is — Big Kon, who I used to live with down in Deep South Wrestling, so I really look forward to flying out to TV every month to see all the guys and girls,” he said.
