Tony Khan made it official — Mark Briscoe is All Elite.

Shortly after he picked up a win on AEW Dynamite in Laredo, Texas, Tony Khan announced that Mark Briscoe was now a member of the All Elite Wrestling roster.

“Mark Briscoe earned his second win on TBS on #AEWDynamite tonight, and now it’s official: Mark Briscoe is All Elite,” Khan wrote on Twitter. “Congratulations @SussexCoChicken!”

Mark Briscoe is also a member of the ROH roster and one-half of the Ring Of Honor World Tag Team Champions. His brother, Jay Briscoe, unexpectedly passed away as a result of a car accident in January.

Update: Tony Khan later clarified that Mark Briscoe would still appear on both brands, writing the following:

Mark Briscoe will continue with us in AEW + remains in ROH, it was great having him on #AEWDynamite tonight, and I’m excited for Mark to participate in the debut of the new @ringofhonor TV! Tapings: @UniversalORL Feb 25-26 Tix on sale tomorrow, + New ROH tv debuts 3/2 on ROH app!

Tony Khan originally confirmed that he had signed The Briscoes to contracts specific to Ring Of Honor and expected them to be a big part of that brand. Despite this, Khan wasn’t sure if they’d show up in AEW.

“I’m not sure,” said Khan. “I can definitely say they’ll be a big part of Ring of Honor going forward, and Ring of Honor’s got a great future. They’re signed to Ring of Honor, and I expect them to be a huge part of the shows we keep doing here going forward. They’ve been in two of the best matches all year period on the first two Ring of Honor shows that I’ve been able to work with them. I’m really excited about working with them in Ring of Honor going forward.

“I’m not sure what the future holds in other companies for them, including AEW, but I know that they’re a big part of Ring of Honor, and certainly if the match had gone the other way tonight, they’d great champions. They’re signed to Ring of Honor, contractually, and I think that they’re great representatives of the company, and I’ve really enjoyed working with them this year in the short time we’ve been together.”

It had been reported that Warner Bros Discovery didn’t want The Briscoes on AEW TV due to homophobic tweets Jay had posted back in 2013. Jay had atoned for his remarks since then and The Briscoes were still used on multiple ROH pay-per-views since Khan bought the company.

Mark made his AEW television debut on the January 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, picking up a win over Jay Lethal just days after his brother had died. Mark has also appeared on AEW Rampage since then, and defeated Josh Woods on Wednesday’s show.
