MLW Underground Results – February 14, 2023
MLW Underground kicked off with highlights of Mance Warner knocking Real1 out with one punch last week to set up their street fight match for tonight’s main event.
Jacob Fatu and Juicy Finau of the Samoan SWAT Team are interviewed backstage. When asked where Lance Anoa’i was, Finau said he was running late, but he’d be there. Fatu was asked about his upcoming MLW World Heavyweight Championship match with Alex Hammerstone. Fatu said that title belongs to him, and at MLW Super Fight, the title is coming home with him.
Calvin Tankman defeated Willie Mack
- Calvin Tankman hit the Tankman Driver on Willie Mack to score the pinfall victory.
A mysterious vignette aired showing someone in a gas mask. While we aren’t sure who the person is, it’s revealed that this is the person behind all of the attacks on various talents backstage over the last several months.
We hear from Real1, who is hyping up tonight’s main event by claiming the punch from Mance Warner last week was a cheap shot and that he got lucky.
They shift to MLW World Heavyweight Champion Alex Hammerstone backstage, who is hyping up his title match with Jacob Fatu at MLW Superfight. He reminds the fans that he won the previous Battle Riot and cashed in on Fatu to become champion, and now Fatu is doing the same thing to him. Hammerstone believes that he and Fatu are destined to fight forever in Major League Wrestling.
In preparation for his upcoming title defense against Jacob Fatu, it’s announced that Alex Hammerstone will defend the MLW World Heavyweight Championship next week against Yamato next week on MLW Underground.
Taya Valkyrie defeated Zoey Skye to retain the MLW World Featherweight Championship
- Taya Valkyrie hits the Road to Valhalla on Zoey Skye to score the pinfall victory and remain the MLW World Featherweight Champion.
After the match, Cesar Duran forced Zoey Skye to kiss Taya Valkyrie’s boot.
The debuting Billie Starkz is brought out on the stage for an interview, and before she can really say anything is immediately confronted by Valkyrie, who was coming up the aisle following her match. Valkyrie asked Starkz if her mom was waiting outside for a carpool, and Duran said she was just a child and to come back to them when she was no longer wearing diapers. Starkz has no reply and just walks away. A very underwhelming debut for her.
Highlights are shown of last week’s brawl between The Bomaye Fight Club and Team Bulldog. We hear from both teams who talk trash about one another. While no match was announced between the two sides, it’s revealed that The Billington Bulldogs will be in action next week.
We see Lance Anoa’i finally arriving at the building but is jumped from behind by EJ Nduka, who tells him to tell Jacob Fatu never to get in his way.
A returning Lio Rush is interviewed backstage; Rush said his second run in Major League Wrestling is to remind everyone of who he is.
Real1 defeated Mance Warner in a Street Fight
- Real1 used a pair of brass knuckles to knock out Mance Warner and secure the pinfall victory.
Real1 celebrates on stage with his brass knuckles as MLW Underground goes off the air.
