Former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White can no longer wrestle in Japan for New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Earlier this morning at NJPW New Beginning in Osaka, Jay White lost a Loser Leaves Japan match to Hikuleo as rumors continue to swirl about Switchblade’s impending free agency.
Despite his loss last night, White states he can still wrestle for New Japan Strong in the United States and plans to defeat All Elite Wrestling’s Eddie Kingston at Battle in the Valley on February 18.
Here are the complete results of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s New Beginning in Osaka:
- The United Empire (Great O Khan and Aaron Henare) defeated Toru Yano and Oskar Leube
- Tomoaki Honma, Tiger Mask, Ryusuke Taguchi, and Shota Umino defeated Los Ingobernables de Japan (Tetsuya Naito, Bushi, Sanada, and Hiromu Takahashi)
- Taiji defeated Master Wato
- Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated KENTA
- Minoru Suzuki, Ren Narita, and El Desperado defeated The House of Torture (Evil, Sho, and Yujiro Takahashi) to become the new NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champions
- Hikuleo defeated Jay White in a Loser Leaves Japan match
- Tama Tonga defeated El Phantasmo to retain the NEVER Openweight Championship
- Kazuchika Okada defeated Shingo Takagi to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship
