Tyrus is prepared for Bully Ray to try and get involved in the main event of NWA Nuff Said later on tonight.
NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tyrus was a recent guest on The Ten Count with Steve Fall to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked how he feels about Bully Ray being at ringside as the special guest commentator for his match against Matt Cardona, Tyrus admitted that the WWE Hall of Famer can’t be trusted.
“I’m not even affected by the fact that Bully Ray is going to be sitting out there,” Tyrus said. “Here’s the thing, I outsmarted Matt [Cardona] in our main event with, who he picked as his partner. And I don’t even know what you’d call that. I guess you’d call it clubbing a baby seal move I did and pinned him before Matt and Mike Knox can even turn around. So the stipulation was one-on-one, no seconds, no outside interference, nothing. There will be a winner one way or the other.
“My whole point is to make sure that it is not disputed. And to say that Bully Ray is just a special guest commentator is just ignorant. He’s a legend in his own right. He’s extreme hardcore; you can’t trust him. He’ll stab you in the back the first chance he gets; that’s who he is. That’s what he is. And it’s not like he came to the NWA to make friends. He came because he wants his hands on this. He wants the NWA World Championship. I’m not stupid for that.
“The only thing is, again, I know that Matt will do anything. And it would not surprise me if this is somehow connected where Matt has maybe the enemy of my enemy is my friend. So both eyes are on that. The difference between me and Matt is that I can end the match in one move. So if Bully wants to get in, hey, throw your hat in the ring, brah. I’m accepting all comers, all challengers.
“So, Bully, you don’t have to sneak around and be a commentator just lay it out there. And he’s being cute and he’s wrote his little things wishing us the best of luck, x’s and o’s and stuff. But it’s an exciting time. Dusty Rhodes used to talk about the pressure of being a champion, that there are no friends, that everybody wants what you have, and being the bull of the woods. You are the bull of the woods and there’s no end. Your heads got to be on a swivel.”
