John Morrison On Recent WWE Changes: It Seems Crazy Until You Think About Things Historically

John Morrison isn’t ruling out a return to WWE somewhere down the line despite all the crazy changes going on behind the scenes right now.

Former WWE Superstar John Morrison was a recent guest on Instinct Culture by Denise Salcedo to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about the current changes in management behind the scenes at WWE, Morrison said it all seems crazy until you think about it in a historical sense.

“I mean, first of all, it seems crazy, right? It’s all like change is crazy,” John Morrison said. “I can’t believe it. It’s like the Vince stuff; Vince is back, Hunter’s in charge. And without getting into the nitty-gritty of everything. It seems crazy until you think about things historically. Because in that frame, it’s not that crazy because that’s what happens to civilizations to businesses, specifically the wrestling business.

“I mean, when Vince McMahon started it, basically he put a whole bunch of territories out of business, got a national TV deal, and built WWF at the time up to what it is today. And that came out of turmoil, and turmoil is what happened with WCW and WWF in the race back then between those two companies, and WWF won. Now AEW is on the map. And now Vince is back, and he may sell the company to Saudi Arabia like it’s chaotic. It’s interesting, and I think it’s part of the intrigue of the business.”

When asked if he has any interest in returning to WWE somewhere down the line or having more matches in All Elite Wrestling, Morrison didn’t rule either idea out.

“Well, there’s the saying in wrestling expect the unexpected. So yes, where I really don’t know,” John Morrison admitted. “But both of those companies are great places. IMPACT is awesome. MLW is great. NWA, AAA, wrestling is a really fun thing to do. AEW and WWE are on the biggest stages right now. And both of those have deep stacked rosters also, so sure.”
