WWE SmackDown viewership decreased with the February 3 episode, which featured the fallout from the Royal Rumble premium live event.
According to Wrestlenomics, 2.384 million viewers tuned in on Friday, which is down from last week, when 2.544 million viewers watched the show.
In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown scored a 0.61 rating, which is also down from last week (0.67 rating). SmackDown still ranked #1 in the demographic, both among broadcast primetime and cable originals. Thurston noted that Friday’s show marked the fourth time in five weeks that SmackDown has taken the top spot, per Showbuzz Daily.

This week’s episode kicked off with Ricochet and Braun Strowman defeating Imperium to become the number one contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. The close of the show saw Roman Reigns address The Bloodline in the ring before being attacked by Sami Zayn, which set up a match between the two men in Montreal at WWE Elimination Chamber.
