Seth Rollins comments on the recent changes in WWE.
Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon returned to the company’s Board of Directors on January 6 after he previously retired in July amid an internal investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct and hush money. When he retired, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were named the Co-CEOs of WWE, while Triple H took over as the head of creative. Mr. McMahon was voted the Executive Chairman of the Board on January 10, and Stephanie announced her resignation that same day.
Speaking with Scott Fishman of Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Rollins was asked to share his thoughts on the recent changes in WWE management. He compared the situation to the HBO series Succession and noted that he focuses on his work as a wrestler.
“Have you ever seen the show ‘Succession’? [Laughs] If you need an explanation, there you go,” Rollins said. “You have three seasons of it, I think, on HBO. That’s all above my head, man. I’m a pro wrestler. I show up, I put in the work in the ring, try to do my best to entertain the people that buy the tickets and watch us on TV. That’s all I can focus on. If I start worrying about the other stuff, I’m gonna lose my cool. So I gotta keep my cool.”
On the January 31 episode of WWE RAW, Rollins qualified for the Elimination Chamber Match for the United States Championship. More information is available here.
