Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns wants to break Sami Zayn, and he intends to do so at WWE Elimination Chamber.
In recent months, Zayn had become a featured member of Reigns’ stable, The Bloodline. He gradually proved himself as “The Honorary Uce” and repeatedly showcased his loyalty; he even hit his friend Kevin Owens below the belt in order to help The Bloodline in the WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series. But throughout Reigns’ feud with Owens, Zayn’s allegiance was increasingly called into question, given his ties to Owens. The Bloodline even put him on trial on the January 23 episode of WWE RAW. After nearly finding Zayn guilty, a passionate defense from Jey Uso convinced Reigns to give Zayn one more chance at WWE Royal Rumble.
At the premium live event, Reigns defeated Owens to retain the title. After the bout, The Bloodline viciously attacked Owens. Reigns gave Zayn a chair and told him to git Reigns. Instead, Zayn turned on Reigns and hit him with the chair. The Bloodline responded by brutally lying Zayn out with a beatdown. But the cracks in The Bloodline deepened, as Jey Uso walked away and later posted on social media that he was “out”.
On the February 3 episode of WWE SmackDown, Reigns addressed the situation by sharing his side of the story. He said that Zayn had been using him, just like everyone else. Zayn charged the ring from behind and took the fight to Reigns. The champion briefly gained the upper hand but decided to flee after Zayn dropped him with a Spear. Zayn then told Reigns that he hadn’t wanted anything from him, but that changed, as he set his sights on the gold.
Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa attacked Zayn from behind, and once he was laid out, Reigns told him that he’d give him what he wanted. “The Tribal Chief” told Zayn that he broke The Bloodline, so he’s going to break Zayn in front of his entire family and his people at WWE Elimination Chamber in Montreal.

WWE subsequently confirmed the match for WWE Elimination Chamber.
