Shawn Michaels has addressed the current WWE status of two former NXT UK Champions, Ilja Dragunov and Meiko Satomura.
Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels hosted a media call ahead of NXT Vengeance Day to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about the status of NXT UK talent Ilja Dragunov and Meiko Satomura, Michaels said it really comes down to availability and visa issues.
“Much like several months ago, we want them here, love having them here. A lot of it is availability, a lot of it is, as you said, visa issues,” Shawn Michaels admitted. “A lot of it, also, again, for some of them, that is a big career move and a big life difference. Those are all things we want people to consider obviously before they make that move.
“Look, nothing would thrill me more than to have Ilja and Meiko here on a regular basis. They are phenomenal talent. We’re thrilled about Gallus being back and Tyler [Bate] being back. But look, as far as who is to come in the future, a lot of that is up to the talent themselves. Then also, as I mentioned, there are visa issues, but we’re also waiting on again a long-term commitment from some people, and we understand that’s not an easy decision to make.”
