Austin Theory will defend the WWE United States Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber, and his challengers are starting to punch their tickets for the title match.
As previously announced, Theory will put the title on the line in an Elimination Chamber match. The January 30 episode of WWE RAW featured three qualifying matches for the bout. First, former Universal Champion Seth Rollins faced Chad Gable of Alpha Academy. The two stars battled it out, and Gable more than held his own with “The Visionary”. In the end, Rollins pinned Gable with the Pedigree to clinch his spot in the match.

Later in the show, Johnny Gargano faced Baron Corbin in the second qualifier. Corbin overpowered “Johnny Wrestling”, but a timely distraction from Dexter Lunis at ringside made all the difference. He approached JBL, Corbin’s manager, with a hatchet. The sight stunned Corbin, and Gargano capitalized by rolling Corbin up for the win to earn a spot in the title match.
