Together, Mark and Jay Briscoe were 13-time ROH World Tag Team Championships. They held the titles at the time of Jay’s passing, and Mark is still listed as a ROH World Tag Team Champion on the match graphic. Lethal, another longtime member of the ROH roster, worked with Jay for years, and they faced each other many times.
WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that, per sources, the new bosses at Warner Bros. Discovery allowed AEW to book Mark on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite. Previous reports indicated that WarnerMedia had been opposed to having Mark and Jay appear on AEW programming. On Wednesday, Mark will perform on the show in honor f his brother.
AEW released a Jay Briscoe memorial shirt, and all proceeds will go to his family. More information is available here.
