Gunther continues to express his interest in facing Brock Lesnar.
The reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion continues to dominate WWE SmackDown, and fans continue to speculate about a potential clash between Lesnar and “The Ring General.”
During an appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Gunther was asked whether he wants to face Lesnar. He emphasized that he’s interested in the match, and he praised “The Beast Incarnate” as one of the best to ever do it.
“Oh, yeah, definitely. To get the opportunity to prove myself in that scenario, it would be fantastic,” Gunther said. “When I started out as a wrestler and I got back into wrestling again, I always watched Brock’s matches because they’ve been fantastic. He stands out right away. There’s nobody like him. I always like those characters. There’s no copy of that. He’s always been a great wrestler, and when I grew older in my career and I was able to analyze the work and understand the psychology and stuff like that, I think you can tell that he’s one of the best to ever to do. So I get in chance to get in the ring with him, I would gladly take it and prove myself.”
Lesnar last wrestled at WWE Crown Jewel in November. It is currently unclear when he will return to the ring.
