Report: Triple H Speaks At WWE Talent Meeting, Addresses Vince McMahon’s Return

Triple H held an all-talent meeting in the aftermath of Vince McMahon‘s return.

The wrestling world has been buzzing for the past few days, as several changes have happened at the highest levels of WWE. Vince McMahon returned to the company on January 6 and was subsequently voted Executives Chairman of of Board, while Stephanie McMahon resigned as chairwoman and CEO. On top of that, rumors about a potential WWE sale heated up on January 10, so much to the point that some sources reported that the sale was a done deal, though these reports have since been debunked.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that Triple H held a talent meeting ahead of WWE SmackDown on January 13 and addressed Vince McMahon’s return. He stated that he had been assured the return is focused on the potential sale. He also reportedly made an attempt to squash the rumors that the sale was “a done deal” and noted that it would take much longer, even if it happened.

Triple H also stated that nothing has changed regarding the creative process he has been using since he took over last summer. He reportedly admitted that anything could change, but at the moment, McMahon still defers to him on final creative decisions. Additionally, Triple H noted that he and McMahon might have discussions about creative, but the final call is still his. Fightful previously reported that WWE had been adamant that Triple H was still running creative in the aftermath of McMahon’s return.

Per Sapp, Triple H also noted that he understood there was some concern and thanked the talent for what they do.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
