The rumors and reports continue to swirl regarding a potential sale of WWE in 2023, but we now have our craziest one yet involving All Elite Wrestling owner Tony Khan.
According to Alex Sherman of CNBC, Tony and Shahid Khan have an interest in partnering with a strategic media company to share the intellectual property and merge WWE and All Elite Wrestling together.
If the Khans were to buy WWE, they reportedly are open to keeping Vince McMahon with the company in an undisclosed role.
It must be stressed that despite this report being out there, there have been no conversations between the Khans and Vince McMahon, or even Nick Khan regarding the idea of Tony and Shahid buying the company.
As far-fetched as this report sounds, keep in mind that Shahid Khan alone has a net worth of 7.56 billion dollars which more than doubles Vince McMahon.
Neither Khan has commented on the report about their interest in WWE, but Tony has offered a few remarks about Vince McMahon’s return to the company. During an appearance on In The Zone with Brandon Kravitz (96.9 The Game FM Orlando), Tony was asked if he was following what was going on in WWE. Tony said he “absolutely” knew what was going on and he was “following it very closely.”
