Ruby Soho Can’t Explain How Honored She’d Be To Face Mickie James In Her Last Rodeo

Ruby Soho would jump at the chance to face off with Mickie James on her Last Rodeo.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Ruby Soho was asked about potentially working with Mickie James, who is currently on her retirement tour Last Rodeo with IMPACT Wrestling. Ruby said she considers James to be a big enough legend that she believes it’s her last name, and she’d love to get a match with her.

“Oh my gosh. I can’t even explain to you the honor I would feel from something like that. I’m not even kidding, I can’t say the word ‘Mickie James’ without saying the word ‘legend’ after. Me and Liv [Morgan] did it all the time. ‘Mickie James Legend.’ It’s her full name, actually. In our minds, it’s her full name. Mickie James Legend.

“Honestly, Mickie, I have so much respect for you, all the respect in the world, and we’ve gotten to step into the ring just once. We were teammates a couple times, which was some of the most fun I’ve ever had. Just the one time I got to step into the ring with you in that gauntlet match we had years ago, and it was in your hometown, I do remember that, was such an honor. I was so nervous. But anything in that nature, just to wrestle you in a singles match would be an absolute honor. That would be unbelievable.”

Ruby Soho recently returned to All Elite Wrestling programming after being sidelined with a broken nose since September. Mickie James is currently scheduled to face Jordynne Grace for the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Championship at Hard To Kill on January 13.
