Edris Enofe Explains Why He Got A Tattoo Of The WWE Logo On His Chest

Edris Enofe surprised the wrestling world on Monday when he revealed that he got a tattoo of the WWE logo on his chest. For someone who only debuted with WWE in November 2021, this level of commitment could be considered a gusty move. But to Enofe, it’s a reflection of his determination to make it big.

Speaking with Chris Phelan for USA Insider, Enofe commented on his decision to get the ink. He stated that it was a spur of the moment decision, and he wanted to represent the company the best way he could.

“Honestly, it was spur of the moment,” he said. “I will eventually be the face of this brand and I felt this was the best way to represent it. WWE has changed my life, and this is my way of saying thank you — by becoming an ambassador for the rest of my life.”

Enofe admitted that he felt some regret, but not for the reason one might think. He stated that he wished he got the tattoo sooner, and he expressed his intent to get the NXT logo on his neck for his birthday.

“When I said I regretted it, I regretted not getting it sooner,” Enofe said. “I also plan on getting an NXT tattoo on my neck for my birthday.”

Given his passion, Enofe’s decision to get the tattoo reflects his lifelong dream of being a WWE star; he recalled how he has been determined to make it since he was a little kid.

“WWE has been my dream since I was 4 years old,” he said. “When I finally had enough money, I went to my first WWE event, Backlash 2016. And I was in the nosebleeds of the nosebleeds. I remember telling myself, ‘Somehow, someway, I’ll be in that ring.’”

Of course, tattoos are typically permanent, leading many fans to question Enofe’s choice to get the logo on his chest. But the NXT star has his sights set on the future with WWE; for him, there is no plan B, as he is determined to make his dreams a reality.

“I haven’t thought about if it doesn’t work out with WWE,” Enofe said. “Much like the same way I didn’t think about ‘if pro wrestling doesn’t work out.’ I never had a Plan B in my life — except from Walgreens. I had a vision and I knew if I worked hard, stayed focused, and treated everyone right, I would eventually get to where I want to be.”
