MJF: No One Is On My Level, I’m Elevating All Elite Wrestling

AEW World Champion MJF previews his high-profile match on AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming.

On Wednesday night, the self-proclaimed “Generational Talent” will make his first title defense against Ricky Starks. The match will pit two of the company’s brightest young stars against each other. While MJF has already cemented his status, many fans view the match as an opportunity for Starks to reach the next level after he delivered a breakout performance with a promo on the go-home show.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, MJF highlighted the importance of the match, as he noted that it will feature two homegrown stars fighting for what he called the most important title in wrestling.

“People have been waiting for fresh and new,” MJF said. “They’ve been begging for it. Now, in the main event of AEW Dynamite, the MJF show, you get two homegrown guys wrestling for the most important world title in professional wrestling.”

The champion then noted that fans could see history in the making on Wednesday. He acknowledged the buzz that has been surrounding Stars before he stated that people are talking about the challenger because they were in the ring together.

“This is a chance for people to witness history,” said MJF. I’m hearing Ricky Starks is going to be the next big star. That’s interesting. Why are people talking about Ricky Starks? It’s because he got to share a ring with a generational talent. That’s me.

In a more general sense, regarding this title match and beyond, “The Salt of the Earth” is confident that he is one of a kind, and no one can touch him. He emphasized that nobody is on his level.

“No one is on my level,” MJF said. “I can give a f— if people are bothered by that. I’m elevating this wrestling promotion.”

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Dynamite as it airs on Wednesday night.
