Mandy Rose‘s lengthy reign as the NXT Women’s Champion has come to an end.
Roxanne Perez kicked off the December 13 episode of WWE NXT, just a few days removed from winning the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. With the victory, Perez earned a shot at Rose’s title. On Tuesday night, Rose attacked Perez from behind, and “The Prodigy” challenged her to a title match later in the show. Initially, the two women were set to clash on NXT New Year’s Evil in January, but Perez said she didn’t want to wait.
In the main event, Perez fought with the heart of a warrior. Rose targeted her wounded shoulder and locked in a crossface, but Perez persevered. In the end, she pinned Rose with the Pop Rox for the win.

Rose won the title by defeating Raquel Rodriguez on NXT Halloween Havoc 2021. She became the undisputed NXT Women’s Champion b defeating NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura and Blair Davenport at NXT Worlds Collide on September 4. Throughout her reign, Rose has defended the title against Alba Fyre, Zoey Stark, Wendy Choo, Dakota Kai, and Cora Jade among other stars. She previously beat Perez to retain the title in July after “The Prodigy” won the Women’s Breakout Tournament.
Perez, formerly known as Rok-C, is a former ROH Women’s World Champion, signed with WWE in March 2022, and she debuted on the April 15 episode of NXT Level Up. She previously won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship with Cora Jade.
