Adam Pearce Comments On Bobby Lashley’s Status After ‘Firing’ Him On 12/12 WWE RAW

Adam Pearce comments on Bobby Lashley‘s status.

On the December 12 episode of WWE RAW, Lashley faced Seth Rollins in a #1 Contender’s Match for the WWE United States Championship. At the end of the bout, Lashley hit Rollins with a Spear, but the referee was unable to count the pin because he got knocked out of the ring. Rollins then won the match, and Lashley took out his frustrations by attacking the referee. He also shoved WWE official Adam Pearce, who then told Lashley he was fired.

On December 13, Pearce tweeted a video in which he announced that he has rescinded Lashley’s termination, and they will have a meeting later this week. He also apologized for his actions by noting that he didn’t channel his passion in a productive way in the heat of the moment.

“Good afternoon. I’d like to address what happened last night to end Monday night RAW between myself and Bobby Lashley. First and foremost, despite what I said last night, Bobby Lashley is not fired. That said, Bobby’s repeatedly crossed a line. Last night, physically accosting two referees and putting his hands on me, not to mention spearing WWE official Pete Williams last week, all of that behavior is unacceptable. All of it will be addressed, and it will have repercussions. But despite that, I feel like I need to apologize to the WWE Universe for the way I that I conducted myself. In the heat of the moment, I allowed emotion to get the better of me.

“Frankly, I said some things I shouldn’t have. I’ll never apologize for having passion, but looking back on last night, it’s obvious to me that I did not channel mine in the right direction. I want you to know that I regret that. Bobby and I are gonna meet later this week man-to-man. We’re gonna discuss the ramifications of what he’s done, and more importantly, how we can move forward and do business together with respect, like we always have up til now. Again, I formerly rescind Bobby Lashley’s termination, and I sincerely apologize for my part in escalating an already volatile situation.
