Alexa Bliss Earns RAW Women’s Title Shot On 12/12 WWE RAW

Alexa Bliss has earned a shot at the WWE RAW Women’s Championship, but dark clouds seemingly loom on the horizon.

On the December 12 episode of WWE RAW, Bliss faced Bayley in a #1 Contender’s Match for the WWE RAW Women’s Championship. The two women earned their spots in the match by winning triple threat matches the previous week. Bliss defeated Nikki Cross and Becky Lynch, while Bayley emerged victorious in her match against Rhea Ripley and Asuka.

On Monday night, Lynch attacked IYO SKY and Dakota Kai, Bayley’s stablemates in Damage CTRL, before her match against Bliss to ensure that they wouldn’t interfere after the duo cost her the week before. RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair was at ringside for the bout, and she argued with Bayley at different points in the contest. Bliss ultimately clinched the victory with the Twisted Bliss.

After the bell, Belair entered the ring and offered to shake Bliss’ hand. Bliss went for a hug instead, but Bray Wyatt’s logo appeared on the video screen. Something in Bliss seemed to shift, as she went for the Sister Abigail on Belair, but she snapped out of it at the last second. She then walked away, clearly upset over what had just transpired.

Wyatt’s logo has appeared in several of Bliss’ segments in recent weeks, and it seems like she has been affected by his influence.

As of this writing, it’s unclear when Bliss will get her title shot. When she challenges for the gold, she will aim to win the RAW Women’s Championship for the time in over three years; she hasn’t held the gold since 2018.
