Karrion Kross: The Bloodline Reminds Me Of The nWo, It’s A Very Special Thing

Karrion Kross says The Bloodline reminds him of the New World Order (the nWo).

Kross returned to WWE in August, and he has closely watched as The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn) has continued its run at the top. The group has often been praised as one of the most compelling acts on WWE TV, with Zayn’s performances frequently drawing specific praise. Reigns and The Usos are in the midst of lengthy title runs with their respective championships, and there’s seemingly no end in sight to their dominance.

In an interview with Peter Rosenberg, Kross shared his thoughts on The Bloodline and noted that it reminds him of the way he felt when he watched the nWo when he was a kid. He praised the way the group can “maestro” the crowd, as they garner a special type of reaction. Kross went on to describe how most of the members have been with the company for a long time, and seeing Sikoa’s prominence with the group so soon into his WWE career is remarkable.

“It feels as big as the nWo when I was little watching on TV,” Kross said. “Not the same energy, but it feels like as big or sometimes even bigger with the way that they’re able to maestro the audience through stuff. Some people love them, some people hate them, and then some people love to hate them. Some people actually hate the fact that they love them. This is a very special, nuclear-type thing that you cannot just create. You could not create a course to take a bunch of people and have the audience react to them like this.

“I know people feel like The Bloodline is a relatively new thing. Each person, with the exception of Solo, and I don’t mean that in a derogatory way, but each person has been in the company for so many years. This is a lot of time put in to have these members in the group and whatnot. Solo being related to them, and the tear they’re putting him on right now, it’s an incredible thing.”

Kross also stated that some of the talent in the back will stop what they’re doing so they can watch the monitor when The Bloodline is on the show.

“It’s very fun to watch live, too. A lot of us are backstage at the monitor,” Kross said. “We usually stop what we’re doing, and start cracking up at the stuff that they’re doing out there. It’s a very cool thing. I’m glad fans are enjoying it.”

The Bloodline scored another major victory at WWE Survivor Series; the group defeated Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Kevin Owens, Ridge Holland, and Butch in the Men’s WarGames Match. After a brief absence, Reigns will return on the December 16 episode of WWE SmackDown.
