Ricky Starks Wins Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale On 12/7 AEW Dynamite

A new Dynamite Diamond battle royale winner emerged on AEW Dynamite.

The December 7 episode of AEW Dynamite opened with the Dynamite Diamond battle royale. The final four came down to Ethan Page, Matt Hardy, Ricky Starks, and Shawn Dean. Page tossed out Dean before Hardy and Page double-teamed Starks. Hardy went for a Twist of Fate, but Starks countered and tossed him out. Page went to throw Starks over, but Starks reversed it and Page’s feet hit the ground.

Here’s the complete list of battle royale participants and order of eliminations:

  • Orange Cassidy (The Blade)
  • Kip Sabian (Dustin Rhodes)
  • Dustin Rhodes (The Butcher)
  • Dalton Castle (Brian Cage)
  • Brian Cage (Jungle Boy)
  • The Butcher (Ricky Starks)
  • Lee Moriarty (Jack Perry)
  • Jack Perry (W. Morrissey)
  • Shawn Dean (Ethan Page)
  • Matt Hardy (Ricky Starks)
  • Ethan Page (Ricky Starks)

Starks didn’t have long to celebrate as AEW World Champion MJF made his way out and bashed Starks during his promo. Starks eventually grabbed a mic and delivered a number of comebacks of his own. Once Starks finished, MJF low-blowed him. MJF went to use the diamond ring, but Starks countered with a spear.

Starks will challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship next week during the “Winter is Coming” episode of Dynamite on December 14 as a result of winning the AEW World Championship Eliminator tournament recently. It seems he will also be able to challenge MJF for the diamond ring at a later date.
