Bodybuilder Melanie Brzezenski Offered WWE Contract Following Recent Tryout

Melanie Brzezenski might have her WWE dreams come true.

WWE recently held a two-day tryout at the IMG Academy campus in Bradenton, Florida, with 30 athletes participating. ABC Action News reports that bodybuilder Melanie Brzezenski, who goes by “Rosie Ray”, was offered a WWE contract.

“I got a personal trainer back in July, and I said to him that I have one goal and one goal only. That is to get into the WWE.” She also stated, “I was like, ‘I’m ready. I want to do this. I want to be on the camera, and I want to be a star,’” It was noted that Brzezenski applied six times before qualifying for the tryout.

Former WWE Champion Big E, who lives in the area, had the opportunity to scout the potential future WWE stars and detailed his responsibilities.

“We’re putting them through the paces of rolling in the ring, hitting the ropes, doing the bumps, and see how they react, seeing how they learn day-to-day,” he said. “But also, we’re seeing them on the microphone, seeing how their promos are. That’s a huge part of it. That’s what we do is having these larger-than-life characters.”

As WWE continues to evolve, the company has focused more on scouting elite collegiate athletes this year. A “Campus Rush” recruitment tour was held this fall with WWE visiting eight universities to educate students about their “Next In Line” (NIL) program.

While their scouting may be focused on collegiate athletes as of late, WWE continues to keep their eyes on the independent wrestling scene as well as there is reportedly interest from WWE in signing NWA star Colby Corino. Additionally, PWInsider reports KC Navarro and Kylie Rae are both in the midst of a tryout at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando.
