According to a recent report from Wrestling Inc’s Nick Hausman, Cain Velasquez and AAA Lucha Libre have reached an agreement to for the superstar to perform in a handful of upcoming shows.
Velasquez — who recently wrestled for AAA over the weekend at a show in Arizona — has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with AAA to work about five more shows for the promotion, with an option for more performances after that. According to the report, the agreement is on a per-date basis, so exact show dates are currently unknown as of now. However, Wrestling Inc. did not report that Velasquez is tentatively scheduled to take part in an upcoming show in Carson, California, which is set to take place during WrestleMania weekend in April 2023. Currently, however, no exact dates are known.
Velasquez’s history with AAA gos back all the way to 2019, with the former UFC star now having three separate stints with the company. Other than that, Velasquez has also worked with WWE, although his last appearance for them was during a Mexican Super Show in 2019.
