Fuego Del Sol: AEW’s Stacked Roster Is A Good Problem To Have; I’d Rather Have Too Much Than Not Enough

Fuego Del Sol is positive about the future of AEW’s expanding roster.

Earlier this year, various wrestlers fueled speculation of “morale being low” backstage in All Elite Wrestling after liking certain tweets or implying it on their own accord. AEW President Tony Khan then addressed the rumors. He recognized the “challenging” aspect of configuring a stacked roster into only three hours of television programming per week. However, he stood firm in his stance that talent “have to do the most to maximize the time they do get,” he told Superstar Crossover.

AEW has noticeably grown their roster to a loaded capacity, but that doesn’t seem to faze Fuego Del Sol. “The AEW roster is stacked right now. We have so many great guys, and guys are champing at the bit for any bit of TV time and match time they can get,” he told  AJ Awesome of The AJ Awesome Show. “For us to develop and go forward, I can’t wait to see what the next year holds for AEW and Ring of Honor together because I think it’s gonna help shape wrestling in a different way and we’re gonna get to see a lot more stories.”

The AEW star continued, explaining his belief that the company’s filled roster remains better than the alternative. “[We have] incredible guys, veteran guys that have been doing this for nearly 30 years. You look at a guy like Chris Jericho. All these guys [are] champing at the bit. The talent is so good, and I feel like that’s a good problem to have. I’d rather have too much good talent than not enough,” he said.

In relation to AEW, Fuego Del Sol hopes to see the launch of a Ring of Honor television show under Tony Khan’s ownership. “If we can get a Ring of Honor television show, I feel like that would open up the door for a lot more guys to have a lot more opportunities to show what we have [to offer].”
