Finn Balor: I Think Dominik Mysterio Is Going To Be A Huge Star For Us

Finn Balor sees big things in both Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley.

Balor has been working alongside Mysterio, Ripley, and Damian Priest for the past number of weeks. Collectively known as The Judgment Day, the group is one of the top acts on WWE RAW. His run with the group has reestablished Balor as a force to be reckoned with on the red brand, and he competed in a high-profile singles match against AJ Styles at WWE Survivor Series.

During an appearance on The Run-In on BT Sport, Balor discussed The Judgment Day and praised Ripley and Mysterio. First, he stated that Ripley has the “it” factor, and he’s enjoying seeing her growth.

“She has that “it” factor that you just can’t put your finger on. She’s still so young, and she’s gonna grow and develop into more of a superstar than she already is. But it’s so beautiful for me to be able to watch that growth up close and personal.”

Balor went on to describe how Mysterio’s transition into his heel role has been “incredible.” He noted that the young star was thrown into the deep end on WWE TV, and he was tasked with a daunting challenge when he turned heel and joined The Judgment Day. The former WWE United States Champion also shared his belief that Dominik will be a big star.

“To see Dominik kind of into the role so seamlessly. Because people forget he kind of debuted about a year before he turned heel, and he was learning on the job,” Balor said. “He wasn’t doing that much training, and I mean that with the greatest amount of respect, but he had a couple months training I think with Lance [Storm] and little bits here and there with his dad and stuff, but not an immense amount of training to be in the deep end on live TV for WWE.

“He was only kind of adapting to that, and then he was thrown this huge curveball where he’s now turning on his dad and playing a completely different character. The way he’s stepped into that character, it’s incredible to watch. I remember the first night that he was going out to do a heel promo and going up to him to try and calm him down a little bit. ‘Don’t worry, it’s gonna be cool.’ He says, ‘I’m cool, bro. Don’t worry.’ I said, ‘You know what you’re gonna say?’ He says, ‘Nah, I’ll figure it out.’ [Laughs] He went out there, just super chill and that’s how he is. I think he’s gonna be a huge star for us.”
