WWE Changes Mia Yim’s Name To Michin

With Mia Yim now back in the fold at WWE, the fan-favorite superstar is going by a new name.

During the November 21 episode of WWE RAW, it was revealed that Yim’s new name was Michin, which — thanks to Twitter user Wrestling Covers — was noted to mean “crazy” in Korean. The change comes just as Yim’s return to WWE kicks into high gear, as she will compete in the Women’s WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series. Her new name was used on the November 21 episode of WWE RAW, and it can also be seen on her profile on WWE’s website.

Yim, a former TNA Knockouts Champion, signed with WWE in 2018 and joined the NXT brand. She later moved up to the main roster, and she was repackaged as Reckoning, a member of Retribution, in September 2020.

After the group broke up, Yim was drafted to RAW, but she was released after several months of inactivity in November 2021. Yim subsequently returned in IMPACT Wrestling in May. She wrapped up with the company following the tapings after Bound For Glory in October and returned to WWE on the November 7 episode of WWE RAW, where she aligned with The O.C. (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Doc Gallows.)
