WWE Makes Verbal Commitment To Host WrestleMania 43 In Nashville

Nashville could be the home for WWE WrestleMania 43, according to a new report.

The Tennessean reports that WWE has verbally committed to Nashville as the host for the event in 2027 if Nashville builds a new enclosed stadium in time for it. Butch Spyridon, CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp., was reportedly the recipient of the commitment, as he has talked with WWE about the possibility in the past. The proposal for the new stadium, which would be the home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans, was submitted in October, and per the report, this step forward heated up the talks between Nashville and WWE.

“The minute the mayor’s office and the Titans released the stadium term sheet, we started looking for opportunities,” Spyridon said. “WWE had an incredible experience at Nissan Stadium this past summer, and we started talking. WrestleMania is considered the No. 6 top sports event brand in the world, and we are grateful for their confidence and belief in Nashville.”

WWE then issued a statement about the situation:

“Nashville has exploded as a cultural center in the United States and as the land of opportunity. WWE looks forward to hosting many events in partnership with the great city of Nashville at the proposed enclosed stadium.”

SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles is set to host WrestleMania 39, while WrestleMania 40 will emanate from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. No further dates have been announced as of this writing.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
