Roman Reigns On His World Title Reign: This Is The Bottom Of The Third Inning, It’s Going To Get Bigger

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns teases that his dominant reign is far from finished.

Reigns has held the WWE Universal Championship since Payback 2020, and he unified the world titles when he beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 in 2022. Over 800 days into his reign as a world champion, “The Tribal Chief” is confident that he has a long way to go.

Speaking with Jonathan Snowden for The Ringer, Reigns emphasized that his run is just getting started, and he believes it’s only going to get bigger from here on out.

“I’m right in the middle of it,” Reigns said. “People want these interviews, they want to do these documentaries. But this is the bottom of the third inning to me. We’re in the second quarter of the Super Bowl right now. Just wait, man. We’ve done this in turbulent times, through a pandemic, through the biggest change of all time in this business. And we’ve done it seamlessly. We’ve done it without falter.

“Down the road, 20 years from now when we start giving out all these crazy details of the inside, inside, there’s just going to be even deeper respect for the performances that we’ve been putting on. Man, it’s been a hell of a journey. But it’s only begun. It’s going to get bigger.”

Throughout his lengthy reign, Reigns has defeated stars like Lesnar, Goldberg, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Edge, and Kevin Owens. He recently retained the gold against Logan Paul at WWE Crown Jewel. He will compete in the Men’s WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series, where The Bloodline will battle Owens, Drew McIntyre, and The Brawling Brutes.
