WWE reportedly has interest in bringing back another former Superstar. Specifically, the company has its sights set on Mia Yim.
Yim competed in both of the Mae Young Classic tournaments. The former TNA Knockouts Champion signed with WWE in 2018 and joined the NXT brand. She often competed on NXT until she was called up to the main roster and repackaged as Reckoning, a member of Retribution, in September 2021. After the group’s ill-fated run, Yim was drafted to RAW, but she didn’t make any televised appearances prior to her release in a wave of cuts on November 4, 2021. After she took time time away from the ring, she returned in IMPACT Wrestling in May. Yim recently wrapped up with IMPACT, so she is a free agent.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, WWE was aware that her deal with IMPACT was coming up ahead of its expiration in October, and the company had interest in her. Sapp stated that specific details are unclear, but she is expected to be brought back to WWE soon.
