Vince McMahon is reportedly not expected to return to WWE.
WWE reported its third quarter 2022 revenue on November 2 and revealed that the investigations into allegations made against Vince McMahon have concluded and the Special Committee has officially disbanded. In light of this, Fightful Select reports that McMahon is not believed to be returning to the company after announcing his retirement in July.
After the sentence, “Mr. McMahon can effectively exercise control over our affairs,” was mentioned in WWE’s quarterly report, questions arose as to if he would actually resume his duties as it related to overseeing WWE’s creative direction and day-to-day operations. One WWE spokesperson told Fightful that McMahon was “done, done,” while another person noted morale has been very high over the last few months.
Another longtime employee noted that they had reservations about how long McMahon’s departure would last, but now “everyone in charge realizes that would be a major step back for the company.” Since McMahon’s retirement, Stephanie McMahon has become Chairwoman and co-CEO alongside Nick Khan, while Triple H has assumed the role of head of creative.
WrestleZone will continue to monitor the situation and provide information as it becomes available.
