Report: Update On Litigation Against CM Punk After AEW All Out

Exact details of the brawl between CM Punk and the trio of Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks remain unclear. However, a new report has shined some light on the situation, particularly from a legal perspective.

Punk made some heated comments during the media scrum after AEW All Out, where he took some shots at the company’s EVPs. His remarks reportedly led to a confrontation with Omega and the Young Bucks, and it turned into what has been called a “melee” in which Ace Steel allegedly bit Omega. Everyone involved was subsequently suspended, and a third party investigated the incident. AEW is reportedly discussing a contract buyout with Punk, who suffered an injury in the main event of AEW All Out.

In an update, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has confirmed Wrestling Inc.’s report that there isn’t any active litigation towards Punk in the aftermath of the brawl. Sapp previously reported that Omega and the Young Bucks are set to return soon. But at the moment, there’s no “working plan” to bring Punk back into the mix.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
