Mickie James plays word association.
Wednesday’s episode of Busted Open Radio saw Tommy Dreamer and Mickie James recapping this week’s episode of NXT, which featured a new segment with the Schism stable. Both questioned the name of the group itself, noting that there was an unsettling feeling about hearing the word “schism” itself.
“I’m not burying [the group]. It’s the word, I don’t like the word,” Mickie stated. “The word is just — my ears don’t like it. Eww.”
Tommy Dreamer then joked about the potential for ‘Schism Me, Daddy’ as a slogan. Mickie said she doesn’t think it would make it on a t-shirt since one of her own suggestive slogans was shot down.
“I don’t think [it would get approved],” Mickie said. “A lot of people would buy that t-shirt, but I couldn’t even get the MILF t-shirt, ‘Mickie: I Like Fighting’, approved. I don’t think ‘Schism Me, Daddy is going to get over through the [USA] Network. But we can put it on Pro Wrestling Tees, somebody could.”
“Obviously it’s working, the heel name,” Mickie added, “because I hear Schism and go, ‘Ew, I don’t like these guys.’”
Mickie also said she also doesn’t like the word ‘phlegm’ but ‘moist’ is appropriate in certain settings, like when it’s used to describe a cake.
In addition to her co-host spot on Busted Open, Mickie James is currently on her “Last Rodeo” with IMPACT Wrestling. Read more about why it’s a rodeo rather than a retirement here.
