Ric Flair Open To WWE Return, Provides Update On New Documentary

Ric Flair says he’s open to working with WWE again, although he’s not sure what that might entail.

During a new episode of his To Be The Man podcast, Ric Flair answered a fan question about potentially working with WWE again now that Triple H is in charge. Flair said that he’s open to the idea, although he’s not sure what he’d actually do on air.

“I don’t know what I’d do. I’d love to be part of the company and do stuff with them,” Flair noted, “but I don’t know [what my role would be].”

Flair is working with WWE in one aspect, as the company is currently working on a documentary about his life and career. Flair shared some new details about the project and said that it should be out before the end of 2022.

“It’s funny, they’re doing this huge documentary on me that will air either Thanksgiving week or the week before Christmas, I think they are leaning towards Thanksgiving. I think the name will be — some names going around, but I think it will be called ‘Finding Flair’. This will be better than my 30 For 30 on ESPN because I made them promise me that whatever I said, they wouldn’t edit. I’m not going to do something if it’s going to get edited again. And it’s been passionate, I’ve expressed everything that I thought was good or bad in my life, I discussed my personal life and personal problems, family problems, wrestling problems, issues with people that I’ve had. I just answered questions and I answered them as truthful as I could.”

Flair previously said he would never return to WWE and blamed his relationship with Nick Khan as the catalyst. At the time, Flair said that Khan didn’t respect him and he couldn’t work with someone that “orchestrated to take me out of the show”.

Flair said he had no problem working with Vince McMahon, but couldn’t work for Khan. Vince McMahon retired in July amidst a sexual harassment scandal that involved millions in hush money payments, while Khan is still with the company.
