WWE SmackDown Results (10/21/22): Logan Paul Appears, Women’s Tag Title Match

WWE will deliver a star-studded episode of WWE SmackDown on October 21.

Logan Paul will appear on the show, and Sheamus will battle Solo Sikoa. Plus, Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Dakota Kai (c) will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi.

The results are as follows:

Before the first match starts, a brief clip of Bray Wyatt plays; he says “I’m here.”

Sheamus (with Ridge Holland and Butch) vs. Solo Sikoa (with Sami Zayn and the Usos)

Sheamus and Sikoa feel each other out and trade blows. “The Celtic Warrior” gains the upper hand and grounds Sikoa. The Bloodline member drops Sheamus with a kick. Sikoa slams Sheamus shoulder-first into the ring post with a hip attack. Sikoa maintains the upper hand, but Sheamus floors him with a clothesline. He hits the White Noise for a two count. Sikoa fires up and targets Sheamus’ arm. He hits an avalanche Samoan drop for a two count. Sheamus elbows Sikoa’s head and slams him to the mat. Sheamus hits Sokoa with the 10 Beats of the Bodhran. The Usos brawl with Holland and Butch at ringside. Sheamus dives onto the Usos at ringside. Zayn grabs Sheamus’ leg, and Sikoa catches Sikoa with a kick. Sikoa slams Sheamus for the win.

Winner: Solo Sikoa

The Usos, Zayn, and Sikoa beat Sheamus up after the match. They smash Sheamus’ arm with a steel chair.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio runs into Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. Kaiser says Mystero’s match will be the end for him. Mysterio says his move to SmackDown is a new beginning for him. He says he doesn’t appreciate being disrespected, and he challenges one of them to a match. Kaiser accepts the challenge.

Bray Watt is backstage. He apologizes for last week, noting that he didn’t get to finish what he was saying. He says he still believes revenge is a confession of pain. He says confessing can help, so he’s going to do that. Wyatt states that he has problems, but some of them, like anger, take him to a place he shouldn’t have come back from. He says he was happy, he was content with it being over, and he wanted the fans to leave him alone. But he’s glad they didn’t because they held up him. He’s thankful for you that. He says he knows who “you” are and what “you” want. Wyatt says he’s going to do terrible things, and he’s going to go where the circle takes him.

Sikoa , the Usos, and Zayn are celebrating backstage. The Usos and Zayn are happy, but Sikoa seems a little upset. Zayn shifts gears and notes that Roman Reigns told them not to do anything with Logan Paul tonight. He says that wouldn’t be “Ucey”. Uso gets mad and says we’ll have to see what happens.

Liv Morgan vs. Sonya Deville

Deville and Morgan lock up and feel each other out. Morgan rolls her up for a two count. She hits a backbreaker, but Deville drills her with a knee to the face. Morgan rallies with a flurry of strikes. Deville sends her to the outside with a kick. Deville grounds Morgan, but the former champion keeps fighting. Morgan rocks her with a kick. Deville catches her with a knee and regain the upper hand. Morgan yells at Deville and tells her to hit her. Morgan takes Deville down and unloads on her with some strikes. Liv slams her into the barricade and bounces her head off the steps unil the referee calls for the bell.

Result: Double Count-Out

Morgan puts a few chairs in the ring after the match. She keeps attacking Deville and hits a superplex onto the steel stairs. Morgan laughs at the pain.

A video package showcases LA Knight, who says he walks the walk and takes care of business. He says it’s the megastar’s game, and it’s LA Knight’s game.

Another video package features the Viking Raiders preparing for battle, and their mysterious female ally says the hunt awaits.

In-Ring Segment: Braun Strowman

Strowman says he had heard MVP running his mouth. He calls out MVP and Omos, saying that coming to the ring will let Omos look at a real monster. MVP comes down and says Strowman is a monster of a man. He says he’s sure Strowman has always been the biggest and the strongest, but that ended when he met Omos last week. MVP calls Omos a literal giant. MVP says that if Strowman wants to keep his reputation as a monster, he should avoid Omos because otherwise he’ll get exposed. Strowman responds by challenging Omos to a match at Crown Jewel. Omos comes to the ring and shoves Strowman through the ropes. He then walks away, and Strowman laughs.

In an interview, Drew McIntyre notes that management isn’t happy with him for attacking Karrion Kross last week. He says they agreed that this thing needs to come to an end. McIntyre announces that it will be Karrion Kross vs. Drew McIntyre in a Steel Cage Match at WWE Crown Jewel.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and IYO SKY) (c) (with Baykey)  vs. Shotzi and Raquel Rodriguez 

SKY and Rodriguez begin the bout. Kai tags in and rocks Rodriguez with a kick. The challengers double-team Kai. Shotzi hits a running senton in the corner. Rodriguez tosses SKY onto Kai. Shotzi dives off Rodriguez’s shoulders onto their opponents at ringside. Shotzi takes Kai down with a missile dropkick for a two count. The challengers keep controlling the match. SKY tags in and floors Shotzi with a dropkick. Shotzi rallies and tags Rodriguez, who clears house with a flurry of offense. She slams Kai and SKY. SKY takes the powerhouse down with a tornado DDT. Shotzi and Rodriguez double-team SKY. Rodriguez accidentally slams Kai onto Shotzi. Kaui and Rodriguez brawl and spill out of the ring. Bayley distracts Shotzi, and SKY capitalizes. She pins Shotzi with a moonsault.

Winners and still WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions: Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and IYO SKY)

Backstage, Ronda Rousey is asked whether she’ll issue open challenges for the SmackDown Women’s Champions because fans came to expect that in her previous reign. Rousey says she’s not doing anything for the fans. She says she’s holding an open challenge next week.

A promo from masked Bray Wyatt interrupts the broadcast. In a distorted voice, he says, “Never lie to the ones you love.” The camera pans elsewhere, where someone speaks in a country accent and says, “Howdy.”

Backstage, Santos Legado discusses Legado Del Fantasma’s expansion. Zelina Vega says they are unmatched. Escobar calls them an unstoppable force and vows to destroy Hit Row.

Hit Row watches Legado’s message. They say they’re tired of getting attacked by the group from behind, but B-Fab has an idea.
