Deonna Purrazzo Looks Back On Main Eventing AEW Dynamite, Teases She’ll Do It Again

Deonna Purrazzo reflects on her experience headlining AEW Dynamite.

Speaking with The Bob Culture Podcast, former IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo discussed her experience main-eventing Dynamite against Mercedes Martinez with the Ring of Honor Women’s World title on the line.

“It was insane. I was very vocal about this, you didn’t get to see too much of the Knockouts crossing over, and not just the Knockouts, the women crossing over this Forbidden Door thing. I really did get to do that, whether it was with NWA, AAA, Ring of Honor, AEW, I got to hit them all this year and last year. So it was incredible to be our only Knockout that got to main event Dynamite. That was one of the biggest platforms I had post-WWE. Yeah, I got to wrestle on Raw and wrestle Asuka, which was amazing, but it’d been two years since I did live, live television besides IMPACT pay-per-views.”

“So it was a lot to take in. It was very, very nerve-wracking.” Purrazzo added, “But win, lose, draw, I’m so thankful that Tony [Khan] gave us that platform and continues to strive to do better with the women and the platform that they’re given. So you know what, maybe it’s only a matter of time before I pop back up in the main event of Dynamite. Who knows?

When asked about the prospect of facing Britt Baker, Purrazzo simply stated, “Put it into the universe, put it into the universe.”
