AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 10/18, Demo Drops As Well

AEW Dynamite viewership saw a decrease on October 18, which was a special Tuesday night episode that went head-to-head with WWE NXT.

According to Showbuzz Daily, 752,000 viewers watched the show on Tuesday night, and it drew a 0.26 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership was down from the October 12 episode when 983,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.32 rating in the same demographic.

With the decrease in viewership, AEW Dynamite took the eighth spot in the demographic among cable originals overall last night. They were defeated by coverage of the MLB Playoffs and the kick-off of the NBA season. They did, however, defeat WWE NXT, who placed twelfth for the evening, according to Showbuzz Daily.

This week’s show kicked off with The Death Triangle defeating Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends to retain the AEW Trios Championships. The main event of the show saw Jon Moxley retain the AEW World Championship over Hangman Page via referee stoppage due to a concussion. The close of the show saw MJF announce that he would cash in his poker chip at Full Gear to face Moxley for the championship.
