Austin Theory seemingly has his sights set on the NXT Championship.
The October 18 episode of WWE NXT concluded with a special edition of the “Kevin Owens Show”. Owens, like several other members of the main roster, appeared on Tuesday’s episode of NXT. He hosted NXT Champion Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov, and JD McDonagh ahead of the Triple Threat Match between the three men at NXT Halloween Havoc. The three adversaries went back and forth, and Owens himself chimed in, saying that nobody wanted to see McDonagh win the title. The time for talk came to an end, and Breakker brawled with his challengers.
Dragunov stood tall after the fight, and he posed with the gold. But he was interrupted by the arrival of Theory, who raised his Money in the Bank briefcase to close the show. The commentary team wondered whether Theory could cash in his contract at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 22.

Theory was featured on NXT, most memorably as a member of The Way, before he moved to RAW in 2021. He won the WWE United States Championship earlier this year and went on to capture the Money in the Bank briefcase.
