Report: Update On Becky Lynch’s Recovery From Injury

Becky Lynch reportedly isn’t expected to return soon.

Lynch went down with a separated shoulder during her match with WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at SummerSlam, and she has been sidelined ever since. Previous rumors suggested that the former champion was ahead of schedule for her return, and she’d be back by the end of September. However, a new report has debunked this notion.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, sources indicated that WWE hadn’t followed up with Lynch about her potential return when the rumors started circulating, and she wasn’t scheduled to come back in September. When Lynch got hurt, Sapp noted that WWE hoped she’d avoid surgery and return in a few months. She was backstage a RAW on October 17, but sources stated that Lynch’s doctors and physical therapists believe she won’t be able to wrestle for a couple of months. As of this writing, there’s not a specific timetable.

Sapp also wrote that WWE sources expressed their hope that Lynch will be back by the end of the year, but this is far from a guarantee. Instead, they were being hopeful that she wouldn’t need to have surgery.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
