All Elite Wrestling‘s content lineup is reportedly expanding with a new documentary.
In a recent interview, Kathleen Finch, Warner Bros. Discovery US Networks Group chair and chief content officer, noted that the company is working with AEW on planning additional content that’s not strictly in a wrestling ring. Now, the two sides have evidently figured out a way to do so.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that AEW will produce a documentary show that will feature the behind the scenes element of a group of talent. Sapp noted that talent were given the option not to participate in the documentary, which is set to begin filming at the November 2 episode of AEW Dynamite in Baltimore. The process will last six weeks, and it will wrap up with the tapings in Garland, Texas on December 14.
AEW president and general manager Tony Khan will be the executive producer of the show. Sam Berns, Executive Producer of Shed Media, will also be involved. The production of the program will be in collaboration with Shed media and Warner Bros. Discovery, the latter being AEW’s broadcast home for Dynamite and Rampages. Sources indicated that the show will air in 2023.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
