Matt Hardy Loves The Culture, Reveals He Competed In A Rap Contest At 17

Matt Hardy has passed Stokely Hathaway‘s first test because he loves the hood and the culture.

Hathaway and The Firm now possess Hardy’s contract after Ethan Page defeated Isiah Kassidy on the October 14 episode of AEW Rampage. Per the stipulation of the match, The Firm would gain ownership of both Hardy’s and Private Party’s contracts with a victory for Page. The next day, Hathaway posted a picture of Hardy’s “get your sh– together” exam. Among other topics, the assessment tested Hardy on his knowledge of the catchphrases from “Kenan & Kel”.

Hardy clearly aced the exam and revealed that he loves the culture. He described how, when he was 17, he was in a “black club”, where he, his brother Jeff, and Marty Garner competed in a rap contest. Hardy pointed out that they were the “only whites in the joint.”

In another tweet, Hardy stated that the trio finished third out of seven competitors. He went on to offer more examples of his love for the culture.

Despite his reluctance to join The Firm, it seems like Hardy will fit right in.
