Two noteworthy names were reportedly backstage at WWE NXT recently.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that Bobby Fish and Anthony Greene were backstage at recent NXT live events.
WWE released Fish, a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion, in a wave of cuts in August 2021. He signed with AEW in October 2021, and he left the company after his contract expired at the end of August. He has been active on the independent scene, and he has also been working dates for IMPACT Wrestling. Sources indicated that Fish was working as a guest coach for NXT.
Greene had a brief run in WWE as August Grey before he was released in 2021. He has been active on the independent scene as well, and he has also competed in several matches for AEW.
According to sources, both Fish and Greene are on good terms with WWE.
