WOW- Women of Wrestling has returned to television, as its partnership with CBS Media Ventures has given the show a platform on syndication. The viewership information for the first two episodes is now available.
Per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the first episode, which aired on September 18, drew 281,000 viewers and scored a 0.03 rating (44,000 viewers) in the 18 to 49 demographic. 273,000 viewers watched the second episode, which aired on September 25, and the show scored a 0.06 demographic rating (79,000 viewers).
Thurston noted that WOW’s female viewership percentage (60%) was higher than any nationally televised wrestling show. For comparison, WWE averages approximately 40%, and AEW typically averages 33% in the female audience.
