Saraya, formerly known as Paige, has reportedly been cleared to compete.
The former WWE Divas Champion has not wrestled since she retired in 2017 due to a neck injury. Despite her retirement, she remained with WWE until her contract expired on July 7, 2022. She subsequently signed with All Elite Wrestling and debuted on the “Grand Slam” episode of AEW Dynamite on September 21. Since her arrival in the company, she has been teasing a feud with former AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker.
On the October 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, Baker cut a promo and stated that Saraya is not cleared to wrestle, but the two women brawled later in the show.
In an update, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that AEW doctor Michal Sampson has cleared Saraya. As of this writing, neither Saraya nor AEW president Tony Khan have issued an official statement on the matter.
