Jordynne Grace Previews Her Match With Masha Slamovich At IMPACT Bound For Glory

IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace is looking forward to defending the gold against Masha Slamovich at IMPACT Bound For Glory.

In an interview with Kevin Kellam of Sportskeeda Wrestling, Grace was asked the upcoming match and noted that she had been anticipating it since Slamovich arrived in IMPACT.

“Yeah, it’s something that I’ve been anticipating since she got to IMPACT,” Grace said. “I knew it was gonna eventually, I just didn’t know when. I think it’s really cool that it’s happening on the biggest pay-per-view of the year, obviously, and I think it’s cool that she, I’m the champion now when we wrestled. I think it’s cool that I’m now the champion and she’s undefeated, so there’s like a different aspect going into the match too. I think the way that they built it was very, very smart, so I’m very excited about it.”

The champion continued by highlighting the hype surrounding the clash, given her status as the champion and Slamovich’s dominance with her undefeated streak. She noted that Slamovich is an intense competitor, so she’s preparing to deal with that.

“They’ve been kind of working this match as two of the most intense Knockouts going head to head for the first time ever, and I do actually completely agree with that,” Grace said. “She’s definitely gonna be probably the most intense opponent I’ve ever wrestled before. I know just from watching her matches and from the girls in the back, I know that she hits very, very hard, so that’s something that’s gonna be fun. I had a little taste of that, or a lot of taste of it, when I wrestled Max the Impaler a couple weeks ago. I had a good time with that.

“I’m not used to being thrown around, and I feel like the smaller I get, and the more weight I lose, the easier it is for people to just toss me around, and I’m not used to it. So maybe I have to get used to it a little bit, but I’m just excited to wrestle Masha because she’s undefeated. We both have a lot to prove going into this match, and it’s unofficial, but it’s Title versus Streak, and I feel like that’s a really big deal.”
