Ken Shamrock expressed his interest in officiating the Fight Pit Match at WWE Extreme Rules, but he stated that Daniel Cormier getting the role is “amazing.”
Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle will clash in the Fight Pit at the Premium Live Event, and Shamrock commented on the news by noting that if he got to referee the match, it would have to be called the Lion’s Den. The contest had been given that name during the Attitude Era, and Shamrock memorably faced Owen Hart in a Lion’s Den Match at SummerSlam 1998.
Seen posts about people wanting me to guest ref the Rollins vs Riddle Fight Pit… If so we’d have to call it the Lions Den ? Someone would have to let @WWE or @TripleH know ?

When WWE announced that Cormier will be the guest referee of the match between Rollins and Riddle, Shamrock expressed his excitement and wrote that he hopes that the UFC Hall of Famer will have a role in WWE moving forward.
This is amazing, I’m hoping Daniel Cormier will have a role in WWE after this match #ExtremeRules https://t.co/K1UHoUgDVW

In another tweet, Shamrock stated that Cormier is a great choice. As for himself, he stated that, if fans make it clear that they want him to return, he’s sure WWE will find a way to make it happen.
